About the Event
On May 3 2020 racers and randoneurs alike will partake in the hardest event of it's kind, The Canyon Belgian Waffle Ride. In an effort to help as many of these (un)fortunate souls successfully cross the finish line with some semblance of dignity (and before the delicious Lost Abbey ale runs out) we have created the WTF (Waffle Tasting Fete) BWR pre-ride series.
In concert with the Spring Classics we proudly present three WTF events for your enjoyment and proper waffle-day preparation. The first WTF takes place on the day of the storied Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne road race in Belgium, March 1 2020.
This will be your chance to test mind, body and machine on actual sectors of the Canyon Belgian Waffle Ride course. The course will be approximately 60-70 miles and unsupported so come prepared with tubes, energy bars and full bottles.
Our hosts at The Lost Abbey will open the doors for pre-ride necessities and Lost Cyclery will be on-hand to assist with any pre-ride mechanical needs. After the WTF Lost Abbey's open tasting room doors will be a welcome sight to the weary riders. Geiser Meister will be serving their daily handcrafted culinary fare https://www.geisermeister.com/
All riders participating in the WTF events will be required to complete and sign a ride waiver. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ew4WU7uuhVibs9wpRZNJ_ka4aybbc1Hg
Ride rolls out at 8am Route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32006651
Future WTF dates: March 21 from Canyon Bicycle's showroom celebrating the Classic Milan-San Remo April 11 from Canyon Bicycle's showroom celebrating Paris-RoubaixÂ
