BWR ONTDEKKINGSREIZIGER Belgian Reconnaissance Unit - Amstellation

In it's 12th anniversary, the Belgian Waffle Ride returns with a revised, dirtier and more entertaining route of 135+ miles, more that 50-miles of which are off-road.

An unique event like this demands unique preparation. So we present to you the BWR ONTDEKKINGSREIZIGER (explorer) recon/ride series.

A series of BWR-inspired rides that will will delight, inspire and prepare you for what is to come at the Belgian Waffle Ride California.

These four rides will coincide with the great Spring Classics (that inspired the BWR) like Strade Bianchi, Amstel Gold, Gent-Wevelgem and Paris-Roubaix.

The third of these "ontdekkingsreiziger" rides, Amstellation, takes place on Sunday April 10 in concert with Amstel Gold, an annual one-day classic road cycling race held in the province of Limburg, the Netherlands.

Our friends at Lost Abbey San Marcos will host this ride with before and after support (read awesome Lost Abbey ale). Parking info: Since so many cyclists will be parked for an extended length of time, we're hoping that the riders can park in the city works parking lot (down the cul de sac on the left). Also there are additional spots around back.
